WHOLY FORMED Fitness offers the flexibility of Yoga and the strength of Pilates enabling increased physical strength, stamina and flexibility as well as enhanced mental clarity and calmness.  Classes are held at H2 Chiropractic located at 2001 Central Circle Ste. 108, across from Walmart and next to Cookies in Bloom.  Please arrive a few minutes early allowing time to change into comfortable workout clothing.  WHOLY FORMED classes are non-competitive allowing you to do only what your body allows you to do.  We relax, de-stress and have fun!

What does the class consist of?
A combination of stretches, body postures, core work and breathing exercises.

What does it involve?
Classes begin with some very gentle stretching exercises and is comprised of a series of movements and breathing exercises.   They last approximately 30 - 55 minutes concluding with a short session of complete relaxation lying on the floor in 'peace pose'.

What are the benefits? 
Yoga is beneficial for people of all ages, and all abilities, from athletes to people with illnesses such as arthritis and muscular sclerosis, which affect flexibility and mobility.  It is good for respiratory system and blood oxygenation, aids relaxation, helps to strengthen the spins, increases suppleness & flexibility and aids mobility.  Helps reduce and control anxiety, depression and other stress related conditions.  Yoga classes will enable you to become balanced emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically.

When should it be avoided?
Before each class, inform the instructor of any health problems you may be experiencing ~ for example, knee, neck, or soreness, stomach cramps, headache, dizziness, etc.  Never, ever force your body further than it can comfortably go.  If you have any concerns about your health, check with your own doctor before beginning the class.

Important Note:  Try not to pay attention to what others are doing but allow your body to move in a way that is comfortable for you.  It's not about pushing yourself to your limits; it's about achieving a balance between mind and body.
